India’s largest canal project is Indira Gandhi Canal Project. The location of the Indira Gandhi Canal is Punjab and Rajasthan.

It starts from the Harike Barrage at Harike in Punjab, India and terminates in irrigation facilities at Thar Desert in Rajasthan, India.

The canal was previously known as the Rajasthan Canal and was renamed in 1985.

The irrigation facilities were improved in Rajasthan after the construction of the Indira Gandhi Canal. This canal will also supply drinking water to hundreds of people.
