Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan

Pinarayi Vijayan is the current Chief Minister of Kerala, India. He assumed office on 25 May 2016. Pinarayi Vijayan is the 12th Chief Minister of Kerala. |He was preceded by Sri Oommen Chandy.

He is an Indian politician who was born on 24 May 1945 at Pinarayi, Kannur in Kerala, India. From the year 1998 to 2015, Pinarayi Vijayan was the secretary of the Kerala State Committee of the CPI(M) and also termed as the longest-serving secretary of CPI(M).

He introduced many schemes in Kerala such as Ardram Mission, Haritha Keralam Mission, Project LIFE and for the first time in India an all-woman police squad for the safety of women and children. All-woman police squad is named as Pink Patrol to confirm the security for both women and children in public places.
