Southernmost Point of India's Territory Indira Point

The southernmost point of India's territory is the Indira Point. Indira Point is a village located in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India.

The former name of Indira Point was Pygmalion Point and Parsons Point. This village got the name after former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

On 19 February 1984, Indira Gandhi visited the local light house at Pygmalion Point. On 10 October 1985, the official renaming ceremony was held.
